Through an initial pilot study at Hospital La Paz in Madrid, it was revealed that human errors driven by low payment and extended work hours were leading to a lack of incentives and increasing food waste. This prompted a strategic pivot in focus towards finding a solution to minimize food waste and address the issue of life-risk mistakes.
